Tofo Beach is situated on the Indian Ocean and is approximately 20 kilometers from the town of Inhambane. Tofo Beach in Inhambane is located 25 km from the city of Inhambane. The access is easy on a paved road.

It has a beautiful sandy beach. It's perfect for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars close by, making it the perfect place to spend a day or many more. 


Getting to Inhambane and Tofo beach

The drive from Maputo to Inhambane is approximately 470 kilometers and takes around 6-7 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

  1. Take the EN1 toward Xai-Xai/Inhambane.
  2. Continue on EN1 for approximately 450 kilometers until you reach Inhambane.
  3. In Inhambane, follow the signs to the beaches
  4. Follow the road for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach Tofo Beach.

Note:  Pay attention to the speed limits. There are a lot of policemen performing speed checks with radar
